Chloe Morgan is a jewellery designer and maker. Contrast in form colour and texture is a strong aspect of her work. She often places irregular shapes with more geometric forms; bright colours with black or white; smooth surfaces with ones that are ruched or textured. She feels that placing two opposites together accentuates the qualities of each.
Her designs derive from botanical forms abstracted through photographs and drawings. She has an experimental approach to materials which allows her to remain open to fresh ideas and processes. Her drawings create the linear graphic aesthetic which is evident in her pieces.
She uses a variety of materials but is currenty concentrating on combining leather with metal to create asymmetric brooches, earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
