Check-in & Check-out Times
Check in time is after 3pm and check out time is 11am.
Booking Policy
To make a reservation we require 50% of the booking total at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of the booking fee will be charged 3 days prior to the arrival date in line with our cancellation terms. we require card details. Please note all bookings made under special promotions are non-refundable. Promotions cannot be redeemed in conjunction with another promotion or discount.
Room Occupancy & Extra Guests
Please be aware that all of our double rooms are reserved for single or double occupancy only. Due to safety implications and housekeeping requirements any guest found to be in breach of this double or single occupancy rule will be subject to an extra fee upon check out.
Should you wish to travel with a group or family some of our properties have larger rooms for this purpose where you are able to pre-arrange the required bed set up. To find out more please email us.
Minimum Night Stays
We often operate a 2 night minimum stay on Friday & Saturday nights & Bank Holidays. We are sometimes able to make exceptions for last minute availability – to enquire please email our reservations team.
Cancellation Policy
When booking direct we offer a 72 hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel at least 72 hours prior to your arrival date your card will not be charged the remaining 50% balance and your 50% deposit will be refunded in full. Please note, refunds can take up to 10 days to appear in your account.
If the booking is cancelled within the 72 hours the total reservation amount will be fully charged to the card provided.
Please note that if bookings are made via Booking.com, reservations are non-refundable and will be fully charged at the time of booking. For bookings made via Mr & Mrs Smith the guest will need to enquire with the travel agent directly regarding their refund.
For group bookings for 5 or more rooms please be aware that we require 7 days notice of cancellations or amendments. These changes are only ever dependent on availability and changes or cancellations of any kind made within the 7 days period are non-refundable.

Hen/Stag Policy
For the comfort of our other guests we ask that we are made aware of any Hen or Stag parties at the time of booking, and we may refuse the booking if we feel it may compromise the enjoyment of our other guests. If you book for a Hen or Stag party without notifying us prior to the booking we reserve the right to refuse the booking upon arrival.
No Smoking Policy?
Artist Residence is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hotel building. Should it be brought to our attention that smoking has taken place, a cleaning fee of £100 will be payable.
Lost Keys?
A charge of £45 will be taken in the event of a lost key. This covers the change of lock, key fob and the cost of a new key.
Lost Property
We are more than happy to post any lost items subject to the costs of postage. Due to the high volume of lost property we reserve the right to give to charity or dispose of lost property if it is unclaimed 2 weeks from the stay date.
Damages
We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.
Gift Vouchers
Our gift vouchers must be used in full during one visit and we cannot hold gift voucher credit. Gift vouchers may not be exchanged for cash or replaced if lost and are non-transferable. Please quote the gift voucher ID reference when reserving your room at Artist Residence. Valid for 12 months – terms & conditions subject to change.
Privacy Policy
We collect data about how our site is searched to enable us to understand and respond to the needs of our users. This data does not contain personally identifiable information. You can visit our site without identifying yourself or disclosing any personal information. You can view our Privacy Policy here.
If you do sign up for our mailing list, your data will not be disclosed to any company outside of Artist Residence and we will only contact you about Artist Residence Hotels and our other ventures.
Copyright Policy
The Artist Residence site includes a variety of materials created by different members of the Artist Residence team. Although these works may be freely accessible on the World Wide Web and may not include any statement about copyright, the works are nevertheless protected by copyright. Users must assume that works are protected by copyright until they learn otherwise.
Payment Policy
Credit card details are entered on a secured page and are transferred using SSL to our payment provider.
