Hours: 46 per week

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum

Brand New Opening

Last November we were over the moon to open our 5th Artist Residence in the creative community of St Pauls, just a stone’s throw away from the city centre opposite Cabot’s Circus. To ensure a great opening we launched our bedrooms with a small homely bar, serving breakfast, coffee, cake and cocktails. Guests feedback has been nothing but wonderful, which we are super proud of.

Now we are looking to open the 2nd phase with our all-day deli, cafe, restaurant and bar… and we can’t be more excited! To do this we need a great team and this is where you come in. We are looking for a passionate, superstar House Manager who is super pumped to be part of the opening team. Someone who can really support the team to ensure a smooth launch, provide confident, dynamic leadership and amazing customer feedback so that all guests can’t wait to return.

Our vision? The brand new food and drink spaces will be the heartbeat of the hotel, providing a buzzy neighbourhood hub for the local community night or day, work or play. From coffee to cocktails, breakfast to dinner, food and drink will be down-to-earth, always fresh and tasty, whilst the ambience is casual and relaxed with a bohemian vibe.

 

About the Role

As House Manager you will be able to confidently lead the service in both the hotel and food & beverage. You must be confident with managing a team and their performance, providing leadership to ensure the smooth running of the daily operations. Therefore, great people management skills and good communication is a must. You will have excellent attention to detail, whilst at the same time being at ease to create a fun and friendly ambience and being approachable to guests. The House Manager’s primary aim is to ensure that all guests are superbly looked after in every part of their journey with us, and provide a real ‘home-from-home’.

This is a hands-on role where you will need to wear many different hats, jumping from different departments if necessary. On any given day you may be assisting with check-ins & check-outs, hosting the food & drink spaces, hopping onto the bar if needed, overseeing room checks and jumping into housekeeping if necessary to ensure rooms are ready on time to the standards required. You will need to be proactive and flexible in your approach to working in a small and close-knit team, as well as being able to  operate well in both busy and quiet times.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn, loves working in a close-knit team and takes the utmost of care and pride in everything they do.

Candidates must have previous experience within a supervisory or management role. Experience in a busy food & beverage operation and hotel is preferable, but it’s not essential as we’ll teach you everything you need to know. A great attitude, willingness to learn and sunny infectious positive outlook is essential though. Career progression is available for those who are looking for it.
