We are excited to be hiring a housekeeper to join our dedicated team and play a key role in making Artist Residence a great place to stay!

At Artist Residence, housekeepers are a highly valued member of the team. Its not just about cleaning and making beds, its about having an eye for detail in making sure that our bedrooms are always beautifully presented so that guests have a truly memorable experience. For us its going the extra mile and the extra little touches that really can make a difference!

    About the Role as Housekeeper

Located in the pretty hamlet of South Leigh, just a 10 minutes drive from Witney, we are no ordinary hotel. What was once a thatched farmhouse with stables has been sensitively restored into a modern-day pub with rooms. Each of the 14 bedrooms are individually designed and decorated, some of which are located within the main farmhouse, others that are situated within the old barns and stable block. There is also a Shepherds Hut that overlooks the herb garden, which is super popular with guests! Downstairs in the pub we serve all day food and drink, serving as an all-day hangout for hotel guests and locals alike.

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for cleaning rooms and public areas to a 5* standard and ready for guests. You must have great attention to detail, be organised, have high standards of cleanliness and be self-motivated.

Housekeeper shifts are from approximately 10/11am to 4pm each day. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, although candidates will preferably have some cleaning experience. You will naturally take pride in a job well done, with a willingness to learn, a great attitude and great work ethic.

Candidates must be able work a variety of shifts, including weekends to make it fair for the team. Although experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not essential as we'll teach you everything you need to know.

Applicants must live close by or be able to drive. Alternatively a re-location package is available for those who are looking to move the area
